Learn about the U.S. EPA’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council

Do you know anyone between the ages of 16 and 29 who’s interested in having a say in U.S. environmental policy?  This webinar will offer them a chance to learn about the EPA’s new National Environmental Youth Advisory Council (NEYAC) and the application process to become a member of the Council.

The U.S. EPA announced the formation of the first ever National Environmental Youth Advisory Council (NEYAC) in June 2023. The Council’s purpose will be “to provide independent advice and recommendations to Administrator Michael S. Regan on how to increase EPA’s efforts to address a range of environmental issues as they relate to youth communities.”  The August 7 webinar offers potential applicants a chance to learn more about the Council, and the application process.

The webinar will include time for a live audience Q&A with EPA staff. ASL interpretation and Spanish and Chinese translation will be available.

Members of NEYAC will be between the ages of 16 and 29. Applications are due by August 22, 2023. Register for the upcoming webinar below or visit the EPA NEYAC webpage for more information on the council and to apply.
