Public Meeting: Riverwalk & Waterplace Park Resiliency Project
| Check out an upcoming hybrid public meeting for the City’s Riverwalk & Waterplace Park Resiliency Project. This is a great opportunity to learn more about this work, which is building on earlier planning done through the Imagine Downtown initiative in 2021. The overall project has an expansive focus that includes multiple climate resilience issues affecting the park: more frequent & severe flooding caused by sea-level rise, water quality issues caused by untreated stormwater runoff and structural degradation of the Riverwalk walls. This public meeting is designed to gather input to inform the design around resiliency, sustainability, and accessibility of the Riverwalk and Waterplace Park. It will be hosted by the City’s Department of Planning & Development and led by the primary consultant Arup and their team.
